Q1

How did you decide to buy it in the first place? What was the pitch you made to yourself?

Transcript

I just needed a TV stand for a TV. I had an old small TV that my neighbor left me before he was moving. So I was thinking, yeah, I will not buy a TV, I will invest more in other stuff, like a computer. But then the company that I started working with provided me with a computer. I was like, you know, I might buy a TV. But yeah, I didn't think about that first. So I just went for a cheap small TV stand, pretty useless, and some wasted money I feel.

Q2

Walk me through the last thing you bought that you ended up regretting — even a little.

Transcript

The last thing that I really regret buying was a TV stand. I didn't think about buying a new TV at first, so I bought this very small stand. Then I realized that I did in fact want to buy a TV. And when I went to buy it, the ones that I wanted were too big for the TV stand, so I had to buy a new pair of TV feet to mount on top of the TV. I ended up losing money for a worse situation that I would have if I just bought a larger TV stand. And that's the last thing that I really regret buying.

Q3

Was there a moment, before clicking buy, where you almost stopped? What pulled you back in?

Transcript

No, I was pretty sure about it, I'm just a dumb person, yeah.

Q4

What did you do when the regret kicked in — return it, keep using it, pretend it didn't happen?

Transcript

Well, just like the way I usually do, I adopted other situations to fit the current thing. So I just went a little bit creative, did some measurements, found a TV stand that was compatible with both my TV and my TV stand of furniture, whatever. Yeah, so that's it. I just adopted the situations usually.

Q5

If you could rewind that decision, what's the one thing you'd actually change?

Transcript

Yeah, I think I tend to be somewhat idealistic in certain situations, like I tend to think more about the ideal scenario or the scenario that I would like to manifest in my head rather than the practical implications of the fact that when I'm renewing my living room and I'm buying furniture, maybe when I'm done buying the furniture I would also look for buying a TV, because the one that I have is more than, it's like 15 years old, it's quite small, pretty crappy.
